Hi, I am Sebastian Baldini.
Robotics Engineering &
Computer Science Student WPI
I'm a Robotics Engineering major and Computer Scince Minor Student in my Junior year at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I focus in industrial robotics and computer vision along with research into soft body robotics. On campus I am the test stand developer for the AIAA Jet Engine Club, a Research Assistant for the Robotic Materials Group, organizer of the Merit Badge University for APO, and Brother of Phi Kappa Theta.
Projects
Robotics Arm with Computer Vision
Learned how to calculate inverse kinematics and then impliment it on a 4 DOF robotic arm with computer vision to store objects by color.
- MATLAB
- Inverse Kinematics
Facial Detection with Open CV Personal Project
Personal exploration of computer vision and facial detection/recognition through a few projects such as my current project which is a face tracking webcam.
- Python
- OpenCV
- C++
Experience
Research Assistant in Robotic Materials Group
I work under Professor Neimtiz and Cem Aguyl to assist with the current reasearch and work on my own personal research involving multi-material 3d printing and conductive and flexible filaments
- FDM 3D Printing
- C++
- MATLAB
RPA for WPI Frontiers
I worked over the summer to help highschoolers get a college expereince and running events nightly to help entertain them
Lead AI App Developer for CS4341
I'm currently the lead developer for my Intro to AI course where we are focusing on developing an application involving some form of machine learning or artificial intelligence. For our project we are exploring computer vison for lecture attendance tracking purposes.
